As far as I am concerned there should have been some sort of credit given back to people in attendance for the carolina game. We showed up for the entire game, they did not.

Sit KO, bring back Ullstrom...even better trade KO. The coach can not make the GM give him new players via trade so it may be time tio shake it up and bring in some kids and sit some of the princesses on this team.

I think they will bring it tonight. Problem is that Boston physically manhandles us. It won't be enough to beat them. I'm not sure there is another team the isles match up worse with.

Glad Witt said what he said, KO and Bailey need to sit 2 straight games to send a message. Isles have to stop treating DP like he's some franchise savior, and realize this is a business.
And the way Bruins are playing, another loss.....

A good thrashing on national TV. That should help.

Who cares about DP... he is no longer part of the big club.

He should retire... play out the rest of the year, and move on in life.

He can no longer play hockey @ a professional level.

I have a feeling KO will be part of a trade @ the deadline.

They also need to extent Streit and Hamonic's contracts.

Hamonic for 5 years... Streit I would like one year... but it sounds like 3 yrs.

Streit....no way, needs to be dealt, hes not the same D-man, also we can bring him back in FA. Rather have a player/prospect/or pick at deadline

Who takes he spot?

Nobody in the A is ready to step up.

And he will probably be the best defenceman in FA!!!

I agree he is not playing @ the same level as a couple years ago... but we still need him for @ least one more year!!!

Like another poster said Streit should get "0 years". He is right...trade him for a pick or better yet a player who plays in the NHL.

Again... who takes his spot... Hickey...

NHL defenceman don't grow on trees... he is not as bad as people think.

We are already thin on the blueline, you can't just trade him for a pick.

People complain... saying we need NHL players, and less picks and prospects... but then want to get rid of a player for another pick.

My answers to your questions below:

Who takes he spot? I would trade for Franson or Blum from Nashville.
And he will probably be the best defenceman in FA!!! Scuderi is out there which would be great fit...

Donovan appears ready, and is better defensively than Streit....without question

In a perfect world where UFA's are knocking down our door to play on Long Island, I'd agree. However, Viz will be gone at seasons end and the Isles will have no one to assume powerplay duties if Streit goes. I think Streit has been awful defensively over the last two years but his ability to qb the powerplay makes him indespensible for the Isles. Streit wants to stay and the financial hit of $3 million per season is digestable. We may as well bite.

Not next year but within 2-3 yes. Hickey is already more composed with the puck (IMO) than Streit and the reason he was drafted so high was because scouts perceived him as a top level pp qb. That said, I'd much prefer Hickey get a couple more years and even perhaps play on the pp w/ Streit once or twice to get a feel for the pace.

Ah I expect JAck to make the same bone head moves tonight with the lineup. KO getting 20 minutes Bailey getting 20 minutes Frans too. Expect Radek MArtinek as well to be out there again. It comes down to this Bruins 6 - 2 win. No way we win tonight after Carolina plus we never win at home, plus it is a National game

I like Hamonic... he is a good defenceman.

He plays with some passion.

3 or 5 yr deal would be good for me.

he deserves 3 to 3.5 million per year.

Streit... I would be happy with a one year extension for 4 million.

But it looks like he will get a 3 yr deal.... or @ least that is the rumour.

Looks like he wants one last contract before he retires.

I think he is playing hurt to be honest. At least he is not like our defenseman in the past that they get a hang nail and they are out for like 6 weeks

If ever there was a game to throw Finley back out there this is it. Unfortunately i agree and as usually I think we get bullied into another home loss. 2-8!

I agree but Jack is not that smart of a hockey guy. Id oubt Finley is in there at all. Jut when he started to play to good he pulls him like he does all the young guys and loses there confidence

understand that no one is knocking down our door, but with the announcement of Brooklyn, we dont know now what could happen. Also when isles signed Streit, no one knew who he was bc he was a 5th or 6th D on MTL, you never know who can take his place unless you give them the opportunity like the isles did with Streit.
